Update on Use of Donation from Our Lady's School, Cowley You may recall that on 26 February 2007 officers of FilCom Oxford were honoured to receive a cheque donation for £200 from the children and staff of Our Lady's School, Cowley (see original report). The
money was used to buy materials to create 120 packs of school supplies
for distribution to poor children. The packs comprised 1 long
plastic wallet, 1 long folder, 2 notebooks, 1 writing pad, 1 x 12 inch
ruler, 1 pair scissors, 16 coloured crayons, 1 paper paste, 1 pencil
sharpener, 1 pencil, 2 erasers, 1 scotch tape and some writing paper
(see photos below). ![]() ![]()
On November 3, 2007 Jose Ariel Lanada and the founder of FilCom Oxford,
Sister Clare Joseph, distributed the packs to 120 less fortunate pupils
in a remote part of the province of Antique and in part of Duenas,
Iloilo in the Philippines. Pupils, parents and teachers were very
delighted and grateful to receive the generous donation from Our Lady's
School. Below: Pupils from Duenas, Iloilo receive their packs of supplies ![]() ![]() ![]() Below: Pupils in Sibalom, Antique after receiving their packs of school supplies
