Saturday
5 July 2014 saw the 11th celebration of Philippine Independence
Day by the Filipino Community of Oxfordshire returning to its
traditional venue of the Tingewick Hall
at the John Radcliffe Hospital.
Honoured guests included:

Mohammed Abbasi, Lord Mayor of Oxford
and a surprise
guest appearance of Philippine TV star
Hayden KHO
A con-celebrated Mass, led by Rev Fr John Baggley, was held at Corpus
Christi Roman Catholic Church in Headington. There then followed
a Muse and Flower Parade. After lunch, the guests delivered
supportive messages to the Community and the day was completed by a
truly excellent cultural show.
As always our thanks to all the officers and helpers who put in lots of
hard work to make the day happen. But, above all, thanks to all of you
who attended and made the effort worthwhile.
